Our farm was homesteaded in 1903 by James & Alicia Alexander. Shorthorn cattle arrived soon after and have been a continuous part of our farm since. The registered herd was established in 1917.
Our operation is
strictly a cattle operation. Through the late 70's, 80's and 90's,
we also operated a feedlot and this enterprise allowed us to gain
practical experience with cattle from almost every breed. We have
also maintained purebred herds of several other breeds over the
years, but Shorthorns have always been our main focus. Today our
farming operation consists of only the production of quality
Shorthorns. There is often a big difference between breeding show cattle and showing breeding cattle. We believe in the production of practical, hard working cattle that can work in Western Canadian commercial operations. If they work in the show ring - well, it is a bonus.
