Owned with Fantasy Lane Farms, Rockwood, ON, Pioneer combines many of the traits we feel are important in today's beef industry.  He is moderate framed with lots of thickness, volume and muscle.  He is very easy fleshing and has an excellent temperament.  His is structurally sound with well formed feet, legs and testicles.  He has 43cm testicles as a two year old and is a tremendous semen producer.

Pioneer is intensely linebred with Huberdale Mastercharge 42T x, Highfield Irish Mist, Ready Go x and Mandalong Super Flag all appearing numerous times in his extended pedigree.

We had the great misfortune to lose Pioneer in April/2007.  His first calves indicate that he is definately a "major league" sire.  All his calves have been born unassisted and all are polled.  They are some of our very best calves in 2007.

We are very pleased that many leading breeders have selected Pioneer to use in their herds.  It is also most gratifying to have the Brandon Research Centre (Agriculture Canada) select Pioneer to use exclusively on their entire 400 mature cow herd.  Also, Dr. Bert Moore, North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND has selected Pioneer as their main sire in 2007.
