We have purchased the Canadian semen rights in True Blue from Spry’s Shorthorns and Jove Shorthorns in Australia. True Blue sold for $55,000 in Spry’s Super Spectacular Sale in March, 2004, when he was 12 months old. Recently the commercial rights in True Blue were sold to an Australian feedlot for $25,000. This is the first time that commercial rights from a bull of any breed has sold to a feedlot. It was the exceptional carcass data that True Blue possesses that created their interest.

True Blue has sired excellent calves in numerous herds across Canada.  He is homozygous polled and throws his deep red color to many of his offspring.  They have tremendous depth and muscle pattern.  Our semen on True Blue is now depleted, except for some semen we have retained for use in our ET program.
