Free Spirit is one of the best herd sires we have ever produced and his first calves have already proven he will have a major league impact. He is sired by HC Timeline 17T ET x* who had the performance of any bull we have ever raised and he also passed this trait on to his offspring. The dam of Free Spirit is none other than New Beginnings Elsie’ Jade, who is still in our herd at 16 years of age and is still ranked as one of the best donors we ever owned. Free Spirit is moderate framed, with tremendous thickness and depth. He has excellent muscling and his first calves have all been born unassisted with moderate birth weights. We turned him out with many of our best cows so we will have a complete calfcrop in 2015 and we can’t wait to see them!

We sold the European semen rights in Free Spirit to syndicate of 3 Irish breeders: Patrick Brady (Grousehall Shorthorns), Tommy Stanton (Camamba Shorthorns) and Shane and Francis Brigdale (Rowenberry Shorthorns) and they will be marketing him in the EU.

The Australian semen rights are now owned by Spry Shorthorns, Wagga Wagga, NSW.  One of Free Spirit's first daughters in Australia was recently named Grand Champion Female at the Australian National Junior Show.
